Layar Data Sources
The pre-built Layar Master Data Sources provide access to important content including:
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
A primary database for clinical guides in the United Kingdom, NICE is a multi-professional resource that offers comprehensive guidelines and appraisals of clinical technologies. Drawing from over a thousand trustworthy and accredited sources, NICE offers access to a wide breadth of full-text publications, as well as works in progress. These resources cover an array of topics, including but not limited to: clinical guidelines, public health guidance, social care, diagnostics, medical technologies, technology appraisals, interventional procedures, quality standards, and ‘information for the public’.
Covering over 30 million citations from 1966 to present (and some citations dating back to the early 1800s), PubMed is the definitive NCBI citation index for research in medicine and biosciences. Over 500,000 new records are added annually, including MEDLINE publications, other full-text resources, as well as links to NCBI sequencing databases. PubMed abstracts are processed separately from our PubMed Central Open Access database, so you can derive value from both databases without receiving redundant results.
PubMed Central (PMC) Open Access
Over the past twenty years, PMC has served as the digital platform for the U.S. National Institute of Health’s National Library of Medicine (NLM). PMC Open Access is the largest collection of articles available via PMC– over 5.8 million full-text articles, spanning several centuries of biomedical and life science research from the late 1700s to present.
Explore over 300,000 clinical research studies in all 50 U.S. states and 209 countries world-wide. Maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, ClinicalTrials.gov includes trial meta-data, participant flow, baselines characteristics, outcome measures, statistical metrics, and adverse events.
